Experience the real Fraser Island with

Sunrover Expeditions invite you to explore the world's largest Sand Island
- Fraser Island.
Your fully guided 5 day adventure safari will show you through
Fraser Island's unique ecosystems. Daily trips by 4WD visit popular
spots, and explore wilderness landmarks via walking trails.
While on Fraser Island you can cast your line into the surf, walk,
swim or snorkel in tranquil fresh water lakes, relax and stroll on moon-lit beaches or explore the vast sand deserts.

DAY 1
Depart Brisbane and travel north via the Sunshine Coast and Noosa, 4WD
through the Cooloola National Park & Coloured Sands before seeing the shipwreck 'Cherry
Venture'. (Tide permitting)
At Rainbow Beach refresh with lunch and a swim, crossing over by ferry to
Fraser Island. Travel along Fraser's majestic Ocean Beach to Govi Creek and Dilli
Beach National Park campsite. Relax and enjoy the afternoon serenity or walk and explore the deserted coastline.
DAY 2
Start the day with a dawn beach walk or
fishing before departing inland to the world's
largest perched lake - Lake Boomanjin. At Lake
Birrabeen enjoy the natural surrounds of the lake
or take a swim to prepare for the beauty of
Central Station Rainforest.
Try a self-guided walk
and learn about the natural wildlife of the rainforest. Move on to Lake McKenzie for lunch and
relax swim or snorkel. Be amazed by the green
lake - Lake Wabby - surrounded by a Sand Blow which is slowly filling the lake.
Back at camp you can photograph unique sand
wildflowers or relax in the cool waters of Govi
Creek.
DAY 3
Time to move camp for further explorations. The first stop is at Eli Creek the largest and fastest flowing creek on
the East Coast. Continue on to the wreck of the 'Maheno'.... and then through the rainforest to see the tortoises at Lake
Allom. The drive along the beach features the high coloured cliffs of the Cathedrals.
Beach camp is set at Dundubara. Throughout the afternoon enjoy beach fishing or a swim in the ocean, or undertake birdwatching & walks before settling down to dinner around the campfire. At night take a stroll on magical Wungal Sandblow.
DAY 4
Experience the adventure of
Indian Head and gaze over the beach
to the south, the headlands to the
north and see the turtles sharks and
rays below and even Humpback
whales (June to October).
Swim and
snorkel in the Champagne Pools
before venturing further north to
Waddy Point and the beautiful untouched golden beaches.
DAY 5
Regretfully it is time to pack up and return to civilisation. Before leaving cast a line into the surf - the
best beach fishing in the world or hike up the coastal cliffs to watch the sun rise or take a stroll along the
beach. Then the final exciting run down the rugged Fraser coastline before the barge and mainland.
Saturday evening return to the Brisbane Transit Centre depends on the tide times.
Includes transport, snorkelling and fishing gear, delicious meals with wine, all camping equipment, fees & charges.
You will enter wilderness zones and the operator will alter the itinerary as required.
Departs Roma Street Transit Centre, Brisbane and picks up at Noosa.
