Your Fraser Explorer Day Tour shows you the highlights of World Heritage Fraser Island.

See an amazing variety of landscapes - long surf pounded beaches, luxuriant rainforest, pristine freshwater lakes, wind sculpted sand cliffs in shades of red, orange and yellow, vast desert like sand blows, winding streams, heath lands brilliant with spring wildflowers and forest clad dunes rising to 240 metres, among the highest in the world.

On Fraser Island you learn about the fascinating Aboriginal and pioneering history; how the Fraser Island was formed and it's unique flora and wildlife from your ranger guide.

There are no ifs, buts and maybes about this tour. It will run every day and visit all these magnificent places, except in the most extreme weather, but the order may vary depending on tide conditions.

Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world, has been given the ultimate accolade as a very special environment, by being inscribed on the World Heritage List. 

Fraser Island Tour Highlights:
• Take a swim in the pristine waters of  Lake McKenzie or walk on its dazzling white beaches.
• Cruise the Seventy-Five Mile Beach and stop off at the coloured
  sands of the Pinnacles and Maheno Ship Wreck.
• Stop for a swim in the clear waters of Eli Creek
• Explore Central Station with huge satinay, scribbly gum, brush box and kauri trees.
• Walk along the banks ofthe beautiful Wanggoolba Creek at Central Station
• Hot and cold buffet lunch at Eurong Beach Resort.


Departure details Hervey Bay:
• Tour collects you from your accommodation and travels from Hervey Bay to River Heads for 
   the 8.30am barge to Fraser Island.
• Tour departs Fraser Island on the 4pm barge back to River Heads and returns to Hervey Bay
   at approximately 5pm to drop you off to your accommodation.

Departure details Rainbow Beach:
• The tour travels from Rainbow Beach to Inskip Point for the barge crossing to Fraser Island at  
   approximately 8.30am.
• The tour departs Fraser Island at approximately 4.30pm on the barge back to Inskip Point and
   returns to Rainbow Beach between 5.00 - 5.30pm.
