Information and  times of barges to Fraser Island.

Fraser Island Barges, a Kingfisher Bay Resort Group company, provides a range of vehicle barge access to World Heritage-listed Fraser Island. Barges services run daily via Rainbow Beach from Inskip Point, from River Heads, south of Hervey Bay, and  from Urangan Boat Harbour in Hervey Bay.

From River Heads the Fraser Venture runs three services daily to Wanggoolba Creek and the Kingfisher Bay runs three services to Kingfisher Bay Resort.

From Rainbow Beach the Fraser Explorer and Rainbow Venture barges run on demand between Inskip Point and Hook Point between 0600 and 1730.

From Urangan Boat Harbour in Hervey Bay the Fraser Dawn runs two services daily to Moon Point.

There are also several daily passenger catamaran services between Kingfisher Bay Resort and Urangan Boat Harbour.

FRASER VENTURE
Departure times from River Heads (near Hervey Bay) daily at:
8.30 am, 10.15 am and 3.30 pm

Departure times from Wanggoolba Creek, Fraser Island daily at:
9.00 am, 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm

KINGFISHER BAY BARGE
Departure times from River Heads daily at:
7.15 am, 12.30am and 3.00pm

Departure times from Kingfisher Bay:
8.30 am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm

RAINBOW BEACH

RAINBOW VENTURE AND FRASER EXPLORER
Both barges operate continuously between dawn and dusk departing Inskip Point daily, landing at the most Southern tip of Fraser, Hook Point. Crossing time takes approximately 10 minutes

Departure times from Urangan, Hervey Bay:
Daily: 8.30am
April to August: 3.30pm
September to March: 4.00pm

Departure times from Moon Point, Fraser Island:
Daily: 9.30am
April to August: 4.30pm
September to March: 5.00pm
